Nano magnesium oxide is a new type of nanoparticle material. It appears as a white powder with high purity, large specific surface area and good dispersibility. Its relative density is about 3.58 (25℃). The melting point is 2852℃, and the boiling point is 3600℃. It is sparingly soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, but soluble in acid or ammonium salt solutions. Nano-scale magnesium oxide exhibits small-size effect, surface effect, quantum size effect, and macroscopic tunnel effect. After modification, it shows no agglomeration. It possesses many functions and important application values in optics, catalysis, magnetism, mechanics, and chemical engineering, with very broad prospects.
